Midnite Gossip Scores Three Nominations at the California Music Video & Film Awards

Cinematic alt-pop duo Midnite Gossip is thrilled to announce that their self-filmed, directed, and edited music video for Streetlights [Mickey Valenz Remix] has been nominated in three categories at the prestigious California Music Video & Film Awards: Best of Canada Music Video, Coolest Video Effects, and The Chip E. Best EDM/Dance Music Video Award.

This recognition places Midnite Gossip alongside global talents like Camila Cabello, affirming their growing reputation as innovative audio-visual artists. Winners, Honorees, and Hall of Fame Inductees will be celebrated at the California Music Video Awards Dinner in San Francisco on February 10, 2025, making this an exciting milestone for all nominees.

The Heart Behind Streetlights [Mickey Valenz Remix]

"To be finalists for these awards means the absolute world to us," says singer Nicky Markin. "We’ve always considered ourselves more than just musicians—we’re audio-visual artists at heart. Shot entirely in their living room during a summer heatwave, the video was a true DIY project, self-directed, filmed, and edited by the duo. "This wasn’t just a music video; it was a labor of love that reflects every aspect of who we are as artists," adds director and drummer Mickey Valenz.

In addition to creating the video, the duo produced and recorded the remix themselves, making this a fully independent creation.

Vote for Streetlights [Mickey Valenz Remix]

"This is more than an award show for us—it’s a celebration of the intersection of sound and vision, and we’re so grateful to be part of it."
